Do You Want to Get Well?

This message begins our spring/summer series “The Heart of the Matter.” In this message we will look at a crucial question that Jesus asked a paralytic and we need to ask ourselves, “Do you want to get well?"

Believe

The resurrection is pivotal to the Christian faith. In this Easter message we will look at how ancient historians, eyewitnesses, fulfilled prophecy and even enemies of Jesus all encourage us to believe in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.

This Palm Sunday we will look into what it means to have an informed faith. The resurrected Jesus was seen by hundreds of people validating that He is the person He claimed to be, has the power He claimed to have and keeps the promises that He made.

How does God feel about you? Zephaniah answers this question, assuring us that God has created us for intimacy, love and friendship with Him and He is present with His people. The Lord is mighty to save, takes great delight in His followers, quiets us with His love and rejoices over His beloved with singing. Listen to this message with expectation of an encounter with a God Who loves immeasurably more than you can imagine.

Because of His Love: Habakkuk

The prophet Habakkuk wrestled with God on why He wasn’t addressing the ungodliness of His people. When God did address their sin, using an even more ungodly people to correct God’s people, Habakkuk really began to wrestle with God. Habakkuk models for us how to wrestle through troubled faith and come to a faith that is triumphant, a faith that trusts God no matter what is going on.

In this week’s message, from Nahum, you will be challenged to trust that God will do what is right, in His time and for His purposes. God delights in mercy but there does come a day when God will say enough and judgment will follow.

Traditions are helpful when they assist you in remembering, receiving, rejoicing and rediscovering truths about Jesus.

Called to be Culturally Relevant

God’s people are called to go and interact, in an understandable way, with culture. In this interaction there is to be a hospitable attitude towards the stranger, those different from us. 

Fight the Good Fight – Part 2

This week is a continuation of last week’s message on spiritual warfare. We ignore the devil to our harm, and exaggerate him to our harm. Knowing this, we take up the armor, listed in Ephesians 6, and respond to the call to spiritual battle.
