Jesus has gifted His people so that together, as we serve in the power of these gifts, we experience unity and maturity. When all parts do their parts the church becomes what God intends her to be.  

In this message from Ephesians we will look at what it means to live in a manner worthy of our calling. 

In Ephesians 3:14-21 Paul prays that we would experience the power of the Holy Spirit in our inner being so that we can grasp the love of Jesus that surpasses knowledge. Paul takes a break from all the deep teachings of Ephesians and prays, "God, unleash Your power in us and do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine!"

This week we will explore God’s purpose and intentions for the faithful and effective ministry of the church.

 

This week we will explore Paul’s teaching that in Christ we are reconciled to God and others as we are made new in Christ. 

In this message we will see that God has skillfully equipped His followers with talents, abilities and gifts of the Holy Spirit to do the good works He has planned for them long ago. If we refuse to be ones who embrace and do the good works God has ordained, then we will wander aimlessly through life missing out on what could have been.

In Ephesians 1 Paul prays for the Christ-follower to have an enlightened awareness. In Ephesians 2 he defines some of this enlightenment by describing the differences between the dead, those who reject Jesus, and the alive, those who have received Jesus. In this message we will look at these differences and conclude with the way of salvation.

This message will kick off our Ephesians series. Our text is Ephesians 1 and a big thought from this text is that the follower of Jesus is the recipient of blessings in Jesus. In this message we will look at some of the ways we are blessed. 

This week we will look at how and where we grow in our relationship with Jesus on our discipleship journey. 

In this message, for the 4th Sunday of Advent, we will see that the life and ministry of Jesus is bookended with a promise of peace. Peace may be better understood as a path to walk rather than a place to arrive. Like love and joy—two previous themes in Advent--peace is a fruit of the Holy Spirit and is a wonderful gift that God bestows on His followers.

As the year 2020 closes out, so many are glad for it to end but for God's people, no matter what the circumstances, joy should be a defining trait. In this message we look into the subject of joy. 

This week we will look at the life of Joseph and the example he gives us for navigating a season of challenging disruption.

In this message we will look at the events which will lead up to the return of Jesus. As we do this, we will see that heaven and hell are real and that all of humanity will end up in one of these ultimate destinations, depending on whether people have received or rejected Jesus as Savior. 

In this message we will look into the question, "Who needs the Church?" The short answer is that everyone needs the Church. In this message we will see how the church is a blessing to those who belong to her and to those who are outside of her. 

This coming Sunday we will discover the distinct look and calling that should define a Christian, as well as the need for genuine transformation to promote this kind of life change. This is a timely message and very appropriate for the days we are living in.

"Why can't God just forgive everyone and take us all to heaven?" This week's message will give a clear answer to this question, helping you to work out your salvation (Philippians 2:12) and equip you to be ready to give an answer for the hope that you have in Jesus (1 Peter 3:15). We will also have an opportunity to reflect on the meaning and implications of being forgiven. 

How could a loving God send people to hell? Isn’t it narrow minded to say that the only way to God is through Jesus? This is what this message will look into. 

This week we’ll explore this grown up faith question: Why can’t I make my own rules for my life?

One of the most important questions we need to resolve in our faith is this, "Can I trust God?" In this message we will see that not only can we trust God but we can trust that He has a bigger life for us than we'd have by ourselves. We will also look at what trusting involves. 

Have you ever asked, "Why do we have all this bad in the world?" Has anyone ever asked you, "Why does a good God allow bad things to happen?" In this message we will see that the culprit is sin. We will end the message with an action plan to address this sin problem. 

In this 3rd message of our Grown Up Faith series, we'll see that the Bible is one big story. It provides the answers for life and makes it clear that we are not an accident.
